Whoever said you were too young/old to live that dream..... Curry Hammock,
       Florida Keys ....was wrong!

Finally, some time to sit down!

It’s been a busy week. We’re finally sitting down and getting all of our sites (and business!) back up to speed. It’s amazing how much everything can fall through the cracks in such a short amount of time.
We extended our stay at our campground until the 20th of Sept, before we take off to PEI. We love it here, we have a great site, and the people/staff are super cool. A great review to come I am sure!
The past week or so has been hectic but fun. My parents came up and have been staying at a nearby hotel since early last week. On Friday, my aunt came up for her B-Day and we were joined by my uncle as well. While out playing Boccee Ball, I started to talk with the neighbours beside us in a Class A. After having them come in and chat a bit in the RV, I asked where they were from. Turns out, they were from the same place my parents worked, and at that point my mom says; Wow, and you look familiar too. The woman agreed. It was found out that they had known each other long ago, and that they were friends / involved in some business with my late grandfather! What a small world! Of course, they remembered when my uncle and aunt were young, so everyone said hello….it was very strange that everyone would be up here and then this circumstance to have come forth. They thought very highly of my grandfather who was a serious business man, and built the mall in the town in which they worked.
Life is strange like that! I wonder how something like this could happen within the first month of RV’ing, and if it will happen again in the future….wild!
And so, many events this weekend, but mostly shopping….and shopping….and more shopping. It’s now confirmed where I get this ‘horrible disease’ from….it’s my mother! I think we’re shopoholics….something of which is going to have to stop or I’ll be getting a second trailer:D  Oh and a second truck to pull it. But that’s ok, because I can drive now:-) (again)
Speaking of driving, I must say, I do love to drive Calvin. The truck handles very well….reminds me of my old truck (Eugene) except wayyyy bigger;-) I’ve had no problem with it at all….and I know Bryan will deny this one (sometimes he hesitates) but I picked it up very fast….possibly faster than him;-)  I’ve had no problems with turns, parking, etc. I haven’t had much experience changing lanes in traffic, so we’ll see how I handle the length. For now, I handle it like a pro, if I may say so myself:-P
So, besides getting caught up on all that is behind, we’re making future plans. That being where we are staying when we get to the US, etc. Jetty Park is a must for me….I can’t wait until we get there.  Cocoa Beach….how I miss thee! I’ve been eyeing a pink body surf board at Ron Jons…..it says ‘Wave Goddess’ on it. I must get it….! I’ll be a beach bum until I’m dragged kicking and screaming out of Florida….
In any case, I’ll leave y’all with some pictures. And before I forget, the owners of the campground here asked me what had happened with those ‘neighbours’ as someone else had reported them harassing me. I told them the story, and they were horrified! Apparently, they were unregistered guests, and they are going to have a little ‘chat’ with the real boat owners. Yikes! The managers here were also apologizing, but it was totally not their fault. I felt bad that they found out almost….I don’t like to be any part of trouble. Oh, and also, apparently the young people from the boat complained that we were in ‘their parking place’, to which the management told them that there was nothing assigned to anyone, and that we could park there if we wanted (he had told us to, so we didn’t have to park on the grass).
Hoooo boy. I hope the truck doesn’t get keyed or anything. I’m always weary of confrontations or anything of the sort….for the reason that you never know peoples reactions. Oh well. It’s after labour day, so I doubt they will be up now that schools started….
Some recent pictures....

Shower time for Mittens….awwwww.

Not overly happy....haha!

Bryan and my dad at the fire….

I think Mittens feels at home now?
