Whoever said you were too young/old to live that dream..... Curry Hammock,
       Florida Keys ....was wrong!

What a weekend! Regina and her husband showed up, and surprised me by bringing my good friend Sinead! I was going to have an RV warming party with everyone in a couple of weeks, but, I think this weekend was it! We had a fantastic time….!
When they arrived around 11pm, we had a few drinks and decided to check out a club in Orillia. We stood in line for ages till about 1am….which was annoying. I guess small town clubs have to do this to make their place look busy? The entire second patio was empty, so I’m not sure if it was a capacity issue. Oh well. Nothing like a Toronto club, but we had fun nonetheless. When we arrived home, Bryan passed out while the rest of us yapped until 5am. Getting up the next day at 9am wasn’t the best idea (we were feeling it later on), but it was necessary to fit in all the daily activities we had planned. What were these? Wave jumping in the dinghy, and beach time. Of course there were minor injuries as always following the wave jumping….Sinead landed on Reginas finger, and I think I nearly gave myself whiplash! The boys said they could hear us sceaming way out there from the shore.
We returned only to find one of their dogs had gotten a fishing hook in his leg after a nice walk! Poor thing! Try finding a vet around here on a Sunday! We managed to hold him down and take it out….he was not a happy puppy:-( However after a whole raw hotdog, his spirits were back to normal and he was running all over the place once again!
When everyone took off on Sunday night, we headed over to the hotel my parents were staying at in Orillia. I nearly passed out from exhaustion in the hot tub, but felt better after having some pre-dinner wine at their room. Off to the hotel’s restaurant which was Italian, and had the most AMAZING Fetticini Di Mare I have ever had in my entire life (I order it all the time, everywhere). The sauce was divine….we must go back. We drove back to the RV ready for a nap....dealt with a bit of drama from some rowdy campers (which continued into the next day) but all was dealt with. If you want the full story, go here....it’s just a rant;-) Fun with friends in Orillia!
