Whoever said you were too young/old to live that dream..... Curry Hammock,
       Florida Keys ....was wrong!

When someone asks whether you want the bad news or the good news first, what do you say?
I usually want the good news, because I wouldn’t want the bad news in my head to ruin the effect of the good news. However, I’m not going to do it like that this time!
So, the good news I’ll post at a time when I’m feeling less exhausted and less saddened. Also, I’d like to be able to get the bad news out of the way, so I can post all the good stuff that happened, which I know is more important anyway.
A few highlights, or should I say, LOWlights from our trip out to PEI:
- Constant debate and rush for pre-wedding parties that we didn’t end up going to anyway due to exhaustion and the fact that we felt it was rude to eachother to leave the other one alone in the RV somewhere….AND we’re travelling together, so….
- My computer broke when Bryan was trying to bring it into the RV one night….it bent up a whole lot when it landed on his knee. My poor Apple!
- In our rush to make it out to the first part of a pre-wedding party in Halifax, I got my new black shoes caught in the heating vent in the bedroom. This nearly sent me crashing to the floor! Instead, it ripped off the bottom part of the heal. *grrrrrrr*
- And even WORSE in the rush to make it out, I forgot to take my Hermit Crabs in from the car! I remembered the next morning, and freaked out to find the tank was like ice….and so were the crabs. After going hysterical for awhile and trying to ‘thaw them out’ in luke warm water, they ‘came to’, thankfully. Must have gone into hibernation mode! I will never EVER forgive myself for it for as long as I live, and while they seem ok, I’m spoiling them to death (er, LIFE!) with a funky new tank and lots of goodies. I am a horrible person, and I’ll probably go to hell now:D
- Because of our rushed trip, we had no time to see any of Montreal, except for a quick drive into the city at night, and then back. I was really looking forward to showing Bryan around. This, for some reason, made me very sad. I miss Montreal!
- Because of the same reason above, we didn’t have time to see the Hopewell Rocks in the Bay of Fundy, which would have been fabulous. I should mention we were two min down the road from them! There are so many things to see and places to go, and I feel ridiculous skipping something only to have to go back in the future.
- As Bryan mentioned below, we need a new AC now because some dork didn’t put enough freon in, so it’s another thing to worry about, although, not terrible.
- The valve for the greywater ‘broke’ for no reason. Thus, we need to pay for sewer sites wherever we go, even if it’s for a one night stop….until we get it fixed of course. Mostly, this is just a pain in the @$$!!
- I was meaning to clean my Escalade floor/welcome mat, but didn’t have the time. Thus, it sat outside in the rain and dirt until I remembered the next morning. Oh well, I’ll wash it in PEI! On our way out of the campground, I threw it in the back of the truck thinking it would stay there because of it being waterlogged (and naturally heavy!).
Guess what happened? Do I even need to write it?
*cries*
And the KZ website no longer sells them.
I really loved that floor mat….
I think that’s it. If I forgot anything, I’ll just leave it forgotten. The good stuff tomorrow….I guess there’s not enough time to sweat the small stuff, right?
Time to nurse my headache….bye for now…. UGH!
