Whoever said you were too young/old to live that dream..... Curry Hammock,
       Florida Keys ....was wrong!

Today I had my echocardiogram. Everything looks good, so we’re thinking the last test result was due to my heart racing during a near panic attack during the test. I have another one in mid Sept, which I’ll go to, just to make sure. Finally that big black cloud over my head has gone away, and the sun is shining! It’s also time to get some medical insurance for our travels;-)
The Doc said I have the PFO (the small hole in the heart that 15-30% of the population have), and it’s so small they could hardly see it. As for the pulmonary hypertension, well, the last measure was 42, and now at it’s highest spike, is 36 (but was in the low 30s). Normal used to be 15-25, but these days is said to be 20-35….mind you I was still under stress with the heart racing this time….just not as bad;-)
In other news, our forum is UP AND RUNNING. We’re playing around with a few different themes. I think it’s between two now, one is called ALL SAT, and the other is EZ SERENITY. All Sat is up now, and so we’ll alternate every day or two….please leave us your input! After that, we can customize our banner and call it home:-)
So much work to do….I have to update and change around a bunch of my sites before we leave for PEI at the end of Sept. I’ll be a busy bee, but at least I can do it outside in the sunshine in my little screen room away from the noise of the city;-)
Other than that, we’re at my parents place right now. After the test results, we went for a buffet where I made myself sick as usual;-P When I heard my heart was healthy, I told everyone I wanted to ‘eat as much greasy disgusting, unhealthy food as possible’ for dinner. Now, I am suffering:-( Thank goodness for wine….that put a quick end to the agonizing pain! On the way out of the buffet, I was tripping over my own two feet! My parents veered off to the LCBO (way to encourage your alcoholic daughter in training;-) When I noticed this, I called them ASAP on the cell and told them I wanted to place an order. When asked what that was I replied; “I WANT AN ORDER OF DRUNKER, PLEASE!”.
Yeah, I’m just dandy;-)
We’re heading back home soon, where we’re going to down some REV and bike to the local club. Should be fun. Now that I have a clear bill of health, I’m going to party:-) Hopefully this doesn’t entail me being hit by a car on the way there or back on the bike. Life likes to do those things, didn’ cha’ know!
Tomorrow, we’re expecting my long time friend Regina and her husband up to visit. For those of you who don’t know, I met Regina when I was about 8 or 9, right at the marina across from where we are now….! So many memories, mostly of us going out in the dinghy and wave jumping, screaming our lungs out for all to hear. I have my dinghy waiting for Sunday morning….some things NEVER change:-)
Life is grand once again:-)
Some positive updates....
