Whoever said you were too young/old to live that dream..... Curry Hammock,
       Florida Keys ....was wrong!

Oh, it’s been one hell of a week.  We’ve both been sick with the cold, the kind where you can’t think or focus on anything for 2 seconds ’cause your sinuses make your head feel like it is going to burst like a balloon.  Yes, thanks to all the cold, wind, and rain for its valuable contribution.
I was unloading some items from the under storage when I discovered a pile of broken seeds and droppings…  of the mouse variety.  We’re not looking for any flat-mates at this time, damn freeloaders.  I go and check the bottom cupboard inside in the kitchen, there is birdseed EVERYWHERE…   the buggers chewed the bottom out of the bag.  I show Cat what they did and she goes ballistic.  Everything comes out of underside storage and the cupboard.  Clean it all out.  Keep in mind we’re getting sicker by the moment cleaning this when it’s just above freezing while Cat thinks it’s the mouse droppings making us ill.
And where is Theodore Mittens in all this?  Sitting on his butt watching us.  What a useless mouser.  Anyways, we get lots of steel wool and try to block as many of the multitude of openings from the underneath through to the cupboards.  There’s no food they can get their furry paws on now.  Catherine won’t let any mousetraps in there, unless they are the non-killing kind so we’ll have to wait on that approach.  But no sign of any company the last couple days.
Right now we have everything pretty well packed up and ready to go.  Florida, here we come.  Some goodbyes to exchange and we’re departing today or tomorrow.                      Three blind mice....
