Whoever said you were too young/old to live that dream..... Curry Hammock,
       Florida Keys ....was wrong!

Indeed! This weekend was the craziest one we’ve had yet, after all the monotonous unpacking, storing, and organizing….
….but first, here are some neat night shots I took of Mr. Escalade….

I’ve gone overkill with my solar gazing balls. My mom had me order some for her, and of course, I threw an extra couple on the order for me:D One can never have too many tacky lights….EVER.
….and now for the weekend events.
We were debating bringing our 32″ flat panel TV along, and replacing the 27″ Sony that came with the unit. Glad we did now! It looks incredible! Also, we have more storage space behind this one! It’s amazing how focused we are on trying to find ‘more storage’! We mounted it on one of those flat TV mounts, and hooked it to the base of the cabinet. Everything is a perfect fit, but we still must figure out a way to secure it better during travels….

Afrer rushing to get it done, we got ready and met our friends for a night out! Drinking and dancing were on the menu….something Bryan and I haven’t done for ages because of everything going on! We woke up after a very poor sleep (alcohol induced is one thing, but a buzzing fly landing on your face every two min is just not cool) and Bryan got right to making my dad a B-Day cake. As we were all sitting and relaxing while Bryan was cooking, something exploded with a BAM!
I’ve never heard anything like it, and when the shock of the explosion wore off, it still took me a bit to figure out what had just happened:

Bryan went to move the cake up a bit higher in the oven, and rested it down on a metal pot stand. BAD IDEA! The glass exploded and half done cake was shot everywhere….you could even see it dripping down the dials on the stove! I don’t think cookware is supposed to explode like that, and Bryan is lucky nothing hit him! It ruined the cake, and his favorite blue baking dish, but he still has his eyes so we count our blessings. The cleanup took ages, and Bryan managed to get glass stuck in his finger. At the end of the day, he managed to get it unstuck after Mecca and a bandage!

My parents came over and we ended up having a good birthday….WITH a glass free cake from Loblaws! It was delish….chocolate mousse cake….*drools* Oh but I am sure his would have been good too:-(

After eating, we sat down and played quadruple solitaire (where you rush to play on everyones aces). As usual, I got violent and loud, but I beat them all! On to Cribbage….ladies against gents. For some reason, I was having amazing luck. A horseshoe up my @$$ some people would call it, and DID! Needless to say, the ladies won three times in a row and the men couldn’t take it, so we called it a night. Boo Hoo:P
Obviously Bryan and I slept like babies, and we’re feeling a bit better today. Now we have to transfer everything from Bryans desktop to his new laptop….no room for his desktop on Mr.Escalade. After that, we’re planning on going to Canadian Tire to pick up a few supplies (walkie talkies) and then we have to figure out how to store everything on here for the road. We leave tomorrow for our new site….should be interesting…. What a weekend!
