Whoever said you were too young/old to live that dream..... Curry Hammock,
       Florida Keys ....was wrong!

Lack of entries have been the result of our sudden trip to Bryans parents place in PEI….! I’m finally finding the time and strength to update on our progress….
(the hundreds of pictures will have to wait until I’m back home in the city where high speed is a necessity of life….at least for me!)
-We managed to secure the financing on ‘Mr. Escalade’! It arrives anywhere between now and the end of June:-) I cannot believe it’s happening!!!!
-Bryans good friend in PEI found us a fantastic deal on a new 2006 Chevy dually diesel 3500. I whined and whined about getting a sunroof, and guess what happened! The truck is white with dark grey leather captain seats (yay heated seats) and lots of options (onstar, satellite radio, sunroof, chrome step). Hooray for pimped out trucks….now I just have to work on those spinning chrome wheels;-)
-Took a look at a campsite up north in Orillia for the month of July and found one. It’s got a waterview too....spiffy! BOOKED!
-The condo disaster has somewhat died down. We’re just selling the last of the for sale items, and then it’s storage time for the rest!
-*Possibly* found someone to take in the hermit crabs. I hate to have to do it, but it may be difficult to bring them along (and rather unfair as they are delicate). I have a friend online whom I met through one of the hermie forums I belong to - and is just about the only person I trust with them! She has 11 herself and is a VERY good hermie mom….I’m even gonna see about bringing her down the entire 70 gallon set up on the way to PEI in Sept/Oct, if she has the room:-) We met some time ago….back when she brought me up some beautiful strawberry and large ecuadorian hermies from NY on her way to visit relatives nearby Toronto.
-After being in PEI for almost two weeks, my panic attacks seem to have died down considerably. I needed this time, I guess. Being out in nature has been very healing, except for the echoing in my ears at night. Yes, I need the sounds of the city to sleep….this will have to eventually change, for obvious reasons!
-I’ve decided to go on a detox/feel better/get healthy plan before leaving the condo. After a 30lb weight gain (which is usually only around 15-20lb every winter until this year), I’ve decided things need to change. I must be in tip top shape to walk the beaches in Florida:-D Now that I am fulltiming and not dealing with winter anymore, I won’t have to deal with the winter gain and spring work out/diet insanity for a month to regain my shape.
-Been exchanging emails with the wonderful folks at RVLIVING.NET. Found some very helpful information about RV related stuff….their site is QUITE informative as well as their emails! If this is any indication about how helpful and kind RVers are on the road, I feel as though Bryan and I are both in good hands….in spite of us being clueless newbies!
I think that is about it for now. I’m exhausted from writing down all the things we need/need to do prior to our adventure. It all comes down to knowledge and money. Ok, well, money mostly I guess, as knowledge comes with time. $100,000 would solve my life problems right now and set us on a nice and easy path for our traveling future. But then again, isn’t that the case for many?
Sleep time….26k internet connections make me sleepy. A fine remedy for insomniacs like myself….
