Whoever said you were too young/old to live that dream..... Curry Hammock,
       Florida Keys ....was wrong!

The majority of the day was spent packing, well….at least SOMEONE was keeping up at it! I was too distracted at DieselPlace.com *grins*
There is so much to sell, a bit to store, and a whole heap of things we have to find room for on the RV. I’ve come to the conclusion that I need another trailer for just my clothes and shoes. This is horrible! Haha!
Other than that, I’ve been consoled by many about the truck mishap. There are a lot of folks who have done similar things....wow! We don’t feel so alone now. I guess I might as well explain how this happened in a little more detail so we don’t come across as COMPLETELY irresponsible:-D
Packing and moving is tiring….and this weekend was insane. In the middle of a nap, we were called by my parents to move the truck over slightly for them to get in. Now, as most city slickers will know, room for a truck this size in a city is hard to come by. The only place my condo had was in a narrow area where all the traffic for the condo community has to come by….and of course we were called down at rush hour….how’s that for stress! In all reality, it should have woken Bryan up, but it didn’t. Problem #1!
Problem #2 - Damn that cement wall and the folded parking gate! There is this yellow gate that locks up or down, so that you can protect your place (It’s outdoors, and people will take it right away). I’m sure Bryan would have scratched up against the wall regardless. The mirror wasn’t even out because, well, the cement wall! By the time he had looked back, it was too late. Not to mention the wheel seemed to slip off the parking gate and ram it worse:-( Boy did my parents feel bad….not their fault though. It was just a bad situation….and a costly one at that.
I heard the noise right away, but it was not the end of it. At this point he was stuck against the wall, and either had to go forward or backwards off the gate. As he reved backwards, even more damage was done as the edge of the wall was wedged under the hump at the back. ARGG now THAT was a bad noise. POP - SCRRRAAAAPE - SQUEAL….and then your plethora of curse words from my mouth! I was yelling so badly that security came out into the visitor parking garage. YES I was THAT upset!
Anyway, some more pictures of the damage….

Next time, I park it:Phttp://www.dieselplace.com/shapeimage_7_link_0
