Whoever said you were too young/old to live that dream..... Curry Hammock,
       Florida Keys ....was wrong!

Wasaga was great! I missed camping so much, being a city slicker and all:P
The campground was lovely....we were super impressed. Now that I’ve been looking at them from an ‘RV standpoint’ it’s another perspective to consider. It was amazing to walk around at night, and see the lifestyle for the first time, just a small glimpse. It was like a permanent camping trip, but better. We went for a walk at night, and this particular campground had such a wonderful aura. Campfires, trails through the trees, colored lanterns hanging all around, and lots of social gathering echoing throughout this. It was like being in another world altogether, a world that I was already falling in love with. I wasn’t the only one!
Our campsite was further away....in the ‘wilderness camping area’. They weren’t kidding! It was way down a hill, in the forest! The sites were well spaced out, lots of privacy....it was AMAZING. It really gave you the felling that you were ‘way out in nature’! Especially when the storms hit, and HIT they did!

     Getting set up!

Scored one of the best sites....at the end!

They started out at the beach. It was sunny while we sat on a patio, having a drink and a bite to eat, people watching....it was a very, er....interesting place for people watching! Before the fireworks were to go off, a storm rolled in real fast, and they had to be cancelled, but mother nature had a fireworks show all her own.....

After wonderful sunny days and awesome stormy nights, the last night was interesting to say the least. After the storm cleared away, we heard the strangest noises outside the tent. Mind you, everyone had gone home for the week and we were one of the only ones down in the wilderness section! We flick on the truck lights and look outside the tent, and sure enough RACCOONS! Not only raccoons but their BABIES too....soooo cute! Our little cooler was knocked onto the ground, what a mess. Little bums....but cute ones at that.
I was almost sad going home but I knew what would be awaiting me. It wasn’t the end of the fun....it was only the beginning:-)
